Horseback Riding Tour
General information of the horseback tour
It is required a confirmed reservation.
We have one tour a day (from Monday to Saturday) by horse. It starts at 9:00am and finishes around 1:30pm.
It Includes:
- Guide
- Horse ride
- Lunch
- Admission to the falls
- Secure parking area
Please fill up the information of weight, experience riding horse, and ages at the form of the reservation.
Weight limit: 220 pounds for people without horse riding experience and 240 pounds for people with horse riding experience.
We recommend to bring: Sunblock, towel, long pants, swimsuit and closed shoes.
Beginning of the shuttle
The day starts showing at the office where you make the register and fill up the waiver. Also, there is a guide is assigned to each group. After of a short introduction everybody drives to the parking area and the horse-riding area where the tour begins.
There, each rider will have assigned a horse who will accompany you on the day's adventure. Once ready, you ride directly to the falls for approximately 45 minutes.
The visit at the Waterfalls
When you arrive, there is a small hike until getting to the waterfalls. The time you spend at the waterfalls depends on each group and of the weather conditions. It can be from 1h 30min to 2h 30 min
The time you spend there can be longer, specially on summer because is possible to swim and with help of the guides it’s possible to jump.
Lunch and return
Once your time at the waterfalls is over, you go back with the horse and ride for approximately 25 minutes to reach the lunch area.
Lunch consists of typical Costa Rican food (rice, beans, chicken, potatoes, tortillas, salad, a natural drink, and coffee).
Once you're ready, you ride the horse again, the ride takes approximately 30 minutes to get back to the starting point, the parking area. There, you say goodbye to this day's adventure in southern Costa Rican area.
